With black eyes wide nostrils clean limbs and a faithful heart! Nothing at present is equal to my horse of pure blood....…Amir Abd el Kader "Welcome to our website! We hope that you enjoy looking at our horses and we are always pleased to hear from any interested persons. Jinubi Arabians is born from Zena’s life long love affair with horses and in particular the Arabian horse. The stud as it is began its infancy over 7 years ago but its roots stem back to the mid 1980’s when Zena left school and purchased her first part bred Arab. Experiencing some success at local level and then onto county, Zena visited the Arab Show at Ascot Paddocks in 1984, at that time she knew she had to have a pure bred! We are fortunate to be situated in Wraysbury which is between Windsor and Staines in the South East. We are 19 miles from central London and have excellent links to the M25, M4, M3 and M40. Being 10 minutes away from Heathrow Airport and within an hour of Gatwick and Stanstead we are ideally positioned for International vistors should they wish to come. We have 16 acres of level post and rail paddocks, 11 stables and a sand schooling area. Initially our interest was with Crabbet/Old English lines and Ishmaan (Donax x Jaala Sbeyel) was purchased as a four year old. He has been with the family for 21 years and although he has not been used extensively, he holds a special place in our hearts. In early 2001, having married and had children, we decided that we wanted to be more involved with Arab horses and we began our quest to find a foundation mare. After several viewings and travelling to and fro we visited Ty Draw Arabians in Wales, initially it was to view a different mare, however on being shown the broodmares Zena set her heart on Letisha (Esta-Espashan x Lutka). Letisha had produced a number of progeny that had gone on to be successful show horses, including TD Lyrika and La Pearla who both won at National level. Letisha had a colt foal at foot Lymerik by G Iridis. Initially we were reluctant to take the colt as well but they came as a package and Eric came home with us. Little did we know that this horse would be an excellent ambassador for us and give us a real leg up in the showing world. Letisha was soon joined by Lijeva (HS Waliant x G Lilja), and over the past few years we have expanded to Ffemme Ffatal (Fatal Attraction x Khylie) GR Batarah (GR Amaretto x Bindji) and we have been fortunate to have Hazika (Maleik el Kheil x Hegunia) in residence with us. Hazika came to us in 2005 with a beautiful three week old filly Helena (x Tehama Na Sidaqa) at foot. Hazika was to be covered, go home and then Helena was to come back to us just for weaning. Again it was love and although she went back to Devon for a while Helena came back to us to stay! We are small breeders who strive to use the best possible stallions to compliment our mares and as such we don’t profess to focus clearly on any particular lines, although we have a strong Maxwell influence, straight Egyptian and a dash of Russian/Polish! We have used Khidar, Mirokan, AL Lahab, HB Bastille and Keyser Soze most recently. Watch out for the foals on the news pages! Our aim is not to over breed, we feel strongly that breeding is a big commitment and we recognise the need to breed quality, type and versatility. We don’t confess to know it all and we are learning all the time. Fortunately we have made many good friends including Emma Maxwell, Ryan Jones, Mike Ashmore, Mark Hardcastle and Janine McGregor, their advice and input has been invaluable. Our learning curve is still growing and the enjoyment of learning is immense!"
