26th January 2011

2010 was a year of lows for us at Jinubi Arabians we sadly lost two of our most treasured mares Ffemme Ffatal in August from a ruptured tumour that we did not know existed and then just five weeks later my most treasured mare Letisha suffered a stroke and had to be put to sleep at the age of 19 years. This was coupled with the further loss of our precious dogs Bentley the Bassett Hound, two days after Letisha and Blue the Lurcher two weeks after that, it made us feel that death had come to stay! It is most fortunate for us that we still have two beautiful daughters from Ffemme Ffatal, Bandhura and Pserendipity and Lanehyar from Letisha who we treasure even more now. Lanehyar is expecting her first foal this year by Orion OS, we are eaglery awaiting the progeny, if she is anything like her mother she will not disappoint in any respect.

As we closed the door on 2010, we look to 2011. Ayat is now is residence at Jinubi Arabians and owned in partnership with Emma Maxwell. We anticipate that she will go in foal this year. GR Batarah has returned from her breeding loan, so along with Hazika we are eagerly anticipating having three mares in foal for 2012. I shall let you know who the sires are once we have firmed this up.

This years plans include Helena returning to the show ring under the capable hands of Francesca and Melanie Waring. Whilst our in-hand show team will consist of Baudelaire and Pserendipty. Bandhura will take a year off from the show ring and will be broken to ride towards the latter end of the summer. with a view to breed in 2012.

We hope that you continue to enjoy looking at our horses and wish you every success for 2011 in whatever sphere you choose to follow.

20th August 2010
It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we inform our friends of the loss of our darling mare Ffemme Ffatal today. 'Mouse' as she was known here died at home at 5:45pm following a very short illness. She was much loved and is the dam of our two beautiful daughters, Bandhura & Pserendipty who will be retained forever, as well as Dannii Kalifornia and AV Kubla Khan. Her loss is indescribable and she is irreplacable. She will leave a hole in my heart and our lives forever. "God bless and sleep well Mouse."

10th November 2008 - We were honoured and really excited that Samantha Mattocks of The Arabian Magazine has asked Jake and Mackenzie to be the featured persons in the 'Young Stars of the Future' Article for the October 2008 issue. This is fantastic for both the boys and a real finalle to our season. It was extra an special honour for us as this edition was the Polish, European Championships and also the memorial edition for the great Sanadik El Shaklan. All those interesting things including Jake and Mack! We hope that you enjoy reading the article as much as Jake and Mack did giving the information. Please read the full article HERE. For those of you who don't subscribe to the Arabian Magazine we can't recommend it enough, it is full of useful information on all aspects of Arabian Horses giving an insight into breed and disciplines that they are involved in. Further information on subscription is available on www.thearabianmagazine.com

* 10th August 2008 - We are so pleased with Mackenzie's debut in the show ring at Malvern. Mack showed our home produced filly Lanehyar ZB in the Junior Young Handlers 8-12 year olds and was placed first, receiving a the Arthur Dood Young Handlers Challenge Trophy and a beautiful Garland. Jake accompanied Janine Mcgregor in the ring at Malvern to show Rebecca McAvoy's lovely mare HT Georgette and her foal by Sensei, in both the Mare class and the foal class.

Our Malvern results were very pleasing with Helena being placed 3rd in a very large and strong 3 year old filly class. Lanehyar ZB was 8th in the Senior 2 year old filly class, both horses were shown to perfection by Mark Hardcastle and Nooral Noufous was 5th in the Yearling Gelding Class, he was beautifully shown by Janine Mcgregor. A big thank you goes to Mark and Janine who are excellent handlers with bright futures ahead for them.

All our horses are produced from home and as small breeders we feel that these were brilliant results for both our horses and our children. We will be adding photos of the horses and the 'boys' in the near future.
